The Role

We are looking for a Head of Marketing who has first-hand experience in high-tech B2B marketing with solid demand generation skills. This person will have experience at high-growth B2B companies and is able to own all areas of B2B marketing and execute on them. Including but not limited to: lead generation, content marketing, branding, public relations, channel marketing, marketing analytics, and event management.


  • Work with Commercial Director on all growth & go-to-market plans based on the company’s mission & targets
  • Lead demand generation, lead nurturing, CRM, digital and offline activities and work with the Sales Team to build scalable, repeatable growth engine
  • Manage marketing budget across all channels
  • Responsible for top-line revenue, marketing ROI, and key customer metrics for demand generation
  • Build marketing systems focused on accurate tracking, attribution, automation, and optimisation
  • Further optimize current CRM tools to ensure teams are fully capitalizing on and properly tracking leads
  • Improve Open Energi’s organic profile and brand awareness
  • Execute online and offline marketing campaigns customized to fill and grow the lead pipeline with high-quality leads
  • Plan, organize and execute various marketing events such as prospect and customer events, conferences, exhibitions
  • Produce high-quality content for our customers such as market surveys, webinars, whitepapers, case studies, blog, videos, etc
  • Provide ongoing reporting, develop actionable insights, test and learn approach to new initiatives
  • Manage PR agency and work with freelancers

Required skills and experience

  • Business experience in growth/marketing within a B2B tech start-up. Energy experience valued but not necessary if candidate can clearly articulate transferable skills.
  • Proven track record in demand generation and lead nurturing as well as account-based marketing
  • In depth knowledge of performance lead generation campaign execution (Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and /or SEO) with a proven track record of growth
  • Strong expertise in Marketing Tech (Pardot, ActiveCampaign or similar)
  • Experience defining and implementing content marketing strategy
  • Strong understanding of data analytics platforms e.g., Google Analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to own and lead the growth process
  • ROI-driven approach to marketing and a strong attention to detail
  • Be very hands on but also have an ability to work strategically
